This morning I read my Vedic Horoscope for the week…and it was, surprise surprise, all about figuring out how to drop the ego and communicate from Presence. And, had a bit about getting used to Vulnerability.
Well, of course it was totally pertinent, otherwise I wouldn’t be sitting typing about it.
So I unrolled my mat and chose a hamstring class from doyogawithme.com and got ready to work out some soreness. My muscles are officially in that “Wow-you-haven’t-practiced-every-day-in-years” sort of moment. Tomorrow I plan on a nice restorative session, at least an hour, but this morning I just don’t have the time. I actually don’t have particularly tight hamstrings…but every.single.pose brought up that Vulnerable thing.
I was shaking and burning and cramping and just feelin’ plain-ol’ uncomfortable for almost the entire practice. Vulnerable? Check. Present with that? Also check. Let’s see how much patience and compassion I can take with me off the mat today.
